Italy!

Ciao! Sorry its taken me this long to get on here and upate you guys, its just been busy hectic since we got here. We arrived Wednesday night at 9:30 pm and came to Cortney's, showered, and crashed. Thursday the team had a meeting so we hung out at the Worthy house. We didnt do much that day, but hang out with the kids, Alesia, Benjamin, Emma, and Micah. They are adorable!!! We had our first REALpizza last night as well, just let me say after working at a pizza parlor for two years...this beats all i'll ever tasted. Today we went to the castle with Cortney, then the cameo store. We ate at a sidewalk cafe, where you STAND to eat!!! crazy huh, but common. the lady there got on to us cause we didnt finish our food and insisted that we take it home. We then made our way to the supermarket to buy berries, and in order to touch the fruit and veggies you first have to put a glove on OR they yell at you...lol. We then made our way t the Worthy house, and picked up Emma and Micah from school. Italian school is very LOUD and all the moms stand around in little clusters talking very very loudly. When the kids come out the parents take their bookbags and carry them for them, come on Americn parents pick up the slack ;). ONe of Shannon's friends told me and Jenae that we should go to the beach, cause we are too white. She then told Jenae that she could pass for an Italian, but me no not at all. We went back to the Worthy house and meet Emily. We took the metro with her to her and Jason's apartment.On our way we stopped at the corner barber shop while Emma, Micah, and Cortney where getting their hair cut. In order to tell the barber how short he was allowed to cut it Charlie placed a piece of tape on the kids back. We continued on our way to go get Jason. We then took every metro, line, and train around the city in order to learn how to navigate ourselves on our own. We also earned that Emily has NO sense of direction, like Jenae. We went back to the Worthy house to meet Cortney. Charlie and I then walked down to SISA to get flour tortilas and yogrt greco. We then stopped at a coffee/bar and had something that sounded like coffee normal. We then went to the bancodinapoli, Charlie needed cash. We then stopped at a gelato store to pick some up for dessert with the blackberry cobbler. We returned to the Worthy house, and Jenae and I played with the children while Shannon and Cortney cooked supper. Once supper was done we ate and had a legit movie night!!! The movie choice was Planet 51 and supper was chicken and pineapple quesadillas, black beans in yogurt greco, and chips. We then helped get the girls ready for bed. Once they were tucked in we went and cut nametags and placed them in lanyards, for the Tennessee team coming in two weeks! We rode the metro back to Cortneys, and now we are exhausted!!
